Personal Update
I’ve been 100% focused on anatomy and physiology the past 2 weeks. I’ve studied the material often over the years, but this time, my efforts have been on designing a 25-hour course to teach at a Yoga Teacher Training in Thailand in May. Studying to TEACH is always the best way to learn, and it’s been invigorating to dive into a subject like this again–even more fun with the amazing 3D anatomy apps available now!
I’ll be in Thailand all of May teaching meditation, visualization and yoga … as well as anatomy to future yoga teachers. I hope to also spend a little time on my novel, a project that seems to only get attention when I’m in warm places – but one that I aim to complete within a year.
In Thailand, I will have the challenge of staying in ultra running shape in an environment where it’s hot, humid, and not very runner-friendly. I’m planning a lot of body weight strength work, stair and hill repeats, and sprinting. My next ultra marathon is in the Italian region of Switzerland in early June.
